Description
A VFD clock for some of the largest vacuum florescent display tubes ever made – the ILC1-1/8L. The tubes are 5” tall, with the actual digit standing at 4” tall. You’ll be able to see the time from across the house with no problem. The timekeeping portion of the clock is the same circuit used in most Bolt Industries clocks. It is based on the 74LS90 binary coded decimal decade counter IC. The time source is a 32.768Khz quartz crystal oscillator. It is about as accurate as a plain old digital wrist watch. This kit includes everything you need to solder your own clock together. 12 or 24 hour modes are user select-able with a toggle switch. Available with or without the ILC1-1/8L VFD tube.
The ILC1-1/8L VFD tubes are NOT INCLUDED. They can be found on eBay.
A power supply is included. Includes a main PCB as well as a rear cover PCB.
