Bolt Industries is a one man show, owned and operated by Ian Dunn. I am a full time power grid operator by night, father, husband, hardware hacker and artist by day. I live in Tijeras, New Mexico. I am self taught in power operations and electronics. I’ve been soldering since about age 6. With the help of Kickstarter, I turned my electronics hobby into a business, Bolt Industries in 2019.
This is a picture of myself (Ian Dunn) in front of the storefront where the 555 timer was developed by Hans Camenzind in 1971. It is now the office of a property manager. If you’re ever in Silicon Valley, the address is 165 S Murphy Ave suite B, Sunnyvale, CA 94086. There’s not much to see at that address, but it’s worth stopping by for a picture if you’re in the area.
